As a result of these surveys at the end of the day, we now walk on the glacier during the day tour. The hike of 45mins to an hour is spectacular, as we take in views of crevasses and the the vertical drop into the lake from on top of the calving glacier.
We also provide a hot drink in case of bad weather, and are continually trying to improve the information you receive before the tour. We still do not provide lunch, as we think we are OK at guiding on glaciers, and know we are not good cooks!!
