MEETING: 1000 Breheimsenter, Jostedal. We wait for the Glacier Bus

YOU SHOULD BRING: Warm clothing (incl. rain jacket, hat & gloves), good walking shoes, food & drink, camera.

WE PROVIDE: All kayaking and glacier hiking equipment.

TOUR DESCRIPTION: Nigardsbrevatnet (lake) sits in front of the glacier, seperated by only a few hundred metres of mountainside.
The tour begins with a short kayak trip of 20-30 minutes over this idilic lake, providing perfect photo opportunities.
Once we are on the other side we have a short hike to the ice to put the glacier equipment on.
The first half of the hike is uphill, bringing us above the first icefall of Nigardsbreen (glacier).
The view for lunch is perfect reward for your first hours on a glacier.
Exploring crevasses we weave our way around the glacier with your guide explaining the actions and features of the ice under your feet.
