What To Expect
Three zip lines, a deep glacier river canyon, our specialized zip line pulley system that gives you the best of 2 Worlds – the free falling zip line rush AND a ‘relaxing’ hang in the void, where you can have a moment to take in the breathtaking scenery, as the motorized pulley drives you up to the arrival platform.
Each zip line wire hangs down into the ravine, so your first action is to leap into the void, flying down the wire as gravity does its thing. As you fly past the lowest part of the wire, the pulley will then start driving you up the other side (the pulley motor is activated when you are moving slower than 2m/s).
The MIDGARD trip starts with a 250m long zip alongside the canyon, upstream. We then get you connected to the 2nd zip line, 100m straight over the canyon, up to the highest point… ready for the 3rd and final zip, 300m back home - downstream, downhill, where Odin eagerly awaits your return!
There is a four-person minimum for this trip. If you are less than 4 people, we can include you on trips with others, of course.

• From Sogndal: Take road 55 to Gaupne (approximately 30km) Turn left onto road 604 toward Breheimsenter and Jostedalen (approximately 28 km to LABBEN, The Lab – our meeting place). After 28,5 km you will see a big red animal barn and a smaller red building on the right-hand side, turn right and you are at LABBEN.

Yes. All SkyRavn zipline tours are fully guided. At least two professional guides accompany each group around the circuit.
After you are fitted with your harness and helmet, a guide will connect you to the pulley system and send you on your way. The ziplines are not tensioned with a braking system at the end. Instead, you fly past the lowest point of the wire, slow naturally, and the motorised pulley then drives you gently up to the arrival platform.
This gives you a moment suspended in the canyon — time to enjoy the view — before arriving at the station where another guide disconnects you safely.

You must wear closed shoes (no sandals or open toes). The stations are located on natural terrain.
Dress appropriately for the weather. Even on warm days, moving at speed on a zipline can feel cold.
If you wear glasses, that is no problem. We offer SkyRavn glasses straps for sale before the tour if you would like extra security. Please note that securing glasses is at your own risk.
